Barraud, Cornhill, London, marine chronometer with 8-day winding indicator, mounted within original gimbaled brass tub and three-tier mahogany box with Barraud plaque, gilt brass handles, silvered dial of approximately 5 inch diameter signed "Barraud Maker to the Royal Navy Cornhill London #2522," KWKS, fusee-drive with spring detent escapement, cut bi-metallic compensation balance with helical hairspring and diamond endstone, spotted damascene, s#2522 with matching serial number to dial, on tub and box.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good winding indicator function, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, with very light surface spotting; excellent-plus dial with very light surface spotting, excellent tub and gimbals, very light wear to gilt finish; box in excellent cosmetic condition overall having minor dings and scratches under finish.
